BeamStalk is a puzzle platformer where you must save a falling platform by growing beanstalks to hold it in place! Plan and execute your path through each time-sensitive level to save your treasure from the vicious, inconveniently placed lava pool!

Extra tips/info:

  • Out of beans, time or just plain stuck? Dont wait for the level to reset - press R for a speedy reset!
  • You can wait and travel as much as you want without the beam moving if you have not thrown a beam.
  • You can change music level in pause menu, but not sound effects - you will just have to mute/change audio level for the page if you want to make it quieter. Sorry about that!

Reflections:

What I am happy with:

  • The two mechanics of throwing beans with the timed aspect of the platform falling work well together and help create unique levels without many added mechanics! (doors etc.)
  • Finding some nice royalty-free music for one of my games finally (Kevin Macleod is an absolute saint!)

What could be improved:

  • Later levels are rushed and difficulty is not linear (Sorry about the one level with 9 stalks, its pretty evil)

Hello. Your game is quite interesting. It has aspects that I liked and they were very good for the Jame Gam, good job! That's why I uploaded a video on youtube in which I included your game. I hope you see it. Greetings.

the best time i could be bothered to set is very exactly and precisely 221.222992666597 seconds as of 26/06/23! feel free to post times here (and brag about how good you are if you beat me ig :p )
